ZARRAFFA'S REACHES 50 STORE MILESTONE

FRANCHISE powerhouse Zarraffa’s Coffee has opened its 51st store with its latest opening at Maroochydore on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

The Gold Coast company, which has annual revenues of around $50 million, celebrates an historical week after also gaining kudos for 10 years in franchising.

Founder and CEO Kenton Campbell says the milestones were always part of the grand plan.

“This means a lot on so many levels but as a privately-owned company, we all take pride in the achievement, especially considering the many economic factors that have worked against so many businesses in the past five years,” he says.

Campbell says a commitment to franchisees had steered the company’s direction over the years and he paid tribute to the support of customers, suppliers and other businesses who ‘believed in both his personal vision and the Zarraffa’s Coffee brand’.

“We have built this business with the hard work and commitment of many people who have held true to what we have worked so hard to achieve - a superior coffee product, roasted by us, and delivered to our loyal customers with the highest standards of service and taste,” he says.

“Maroochydore is the perfect example of how our own franchisees continue to make money and back our brand by opening more stores. Franchisees Terry and Jeanette Bambury, who also own the Sunshine Plaza and Morayfield stores, have built on their own hard work by being a part of our franchise system to achieve their own business goals and financial rewards.”

“Maroochydore signifies the first drive-thru site for the Sunshine Coast and we expect it to replicate the fantastic results that our other seven drive-thru stores have enjoyed since opening.”
Franchisee Terry Bambury is thrilled to bring the company’s latest operational convenience concept to the area.

“We are excited to open the drive thru store and provide quality, accessible coffee to the Sunshine Coast, including the many businesses on Aerodrome Rd and both our local residents and holiday visitors,” he says.

“It’s very much a family business with our three children working with us over the years and we look forward to forging close ties to the community in Maroochydore and surrounds.”

The new store will provide jobs for around 15-20 locals and the 160sqm site will offer both the drive thru and in-store dining options.

Zarraffa’s recently acquired a neighbouring industrial property at Oxenford to cater to expansion and annual internal growth of around 20 per cent.
