Uni course for business leaders

Leadership In Action unites with Griffith University Business School

LEADERSHIP in Action is planning a joint venture with the Griffith Business School.

Its successful flagship program,

Project: T.O.P. Leaders,
will bereformatted into a nine-month leadership course to be offered to the business community of Queensland by Griffith University.

The new program, to be re-branded exclusively for Griffith Business School as

The Effective E³ Leader, will focus on engaging, enabling and empowering high performance for frontline business managers in Queensland.

Griffith Professor of Management Ken Parry says he was impressed by initial reviews of the program and believed it had significant potential in the area of leadership development.

Leadership In Action Queensland managing director Robin Maini says

Project T.O.P. Leaders was developed from the training experiences of the highly acclaimed Australian Army Special
Forces, combined with the best elements of several leading corporate leadership systems.

Psychometrics were designed specifically for the course to create a unique Australian approach to frontline leadership development.

"The course involves high-impact training and development and implementation of frontline leadership effectiveness," he says.

Griffith Director of Executive Development Frank Pollard says the joint venture was initially proposed after Griffith Business School had the opportunity to review the leadership program, including its Australian-developed diagnostic and benchmarking tools.

"The course is geared towards SMEs and corporations who would get the opportunity to enrol their managers into an effective leadership program for Queensland businesses through a university," he says.

Griffith Business School and Leadership in action are in the process of finalising details of the joint venture.
