IT company expands its operations

A COMPUTER training company will roll out extra services across Australia after securing a contract worth $484,000.

Competing with some of the biggest players in the IT training industry, Computer Training Options (CTO) won a contract that will see the company expand its computer training services at sites across Australia in the next three months. The company provides customised, on-site training for computer software programs and has more than 200 contract trainers Australia-wide.

CTO managing director and founder Rosy Jansen says the company won the tender ahead of some of the biggest training companies in Australia.

"It's the biggest contract we've ever won. I was just thrilled when the client notified us of our successful tender," says Jansen.

"We knew we were up against some big competition when we had other companies contacting us to request the use of our trainers for a 'big contract' they had coming up."

Jansen credits the Gold Coast State Development Centre with the business's early success and growth.

"About four or five years ago, I met someone at a networking event who recommended I contact the State Development Centre," she says.

"It was the best thing we ever did.

State Development Minister John Mickel says CTO has grown from a home business to a national success story in 15 years.

"Five years ago the company relocated its headquarters from NSW to the Gold Coast and two years ago opened its first and only public training centre," he says, adding that the company has registered 100 per cent growth annually for the past three years.
