SEDGMAN Limited (ASX:SDM) has strengthened its partnership with Glencore, after successfully securing a contract renewal with the international miner.
The Brisbane-based resources sector services company extended its crushing and screening contract at the Mount Isa Mines operation, taking it through until 2016.
The facility was established in 2006 and is expected to crush approximately 3.2 metric tonnes annually of lead-zinc ore from the Black Star Open Cut mine.
The three stage crushing circuit can reduce material from a maximum feed size of 800mm to a final product size of 14mm.
Sedgman CEO and managing director Peter Watson says the team was looking forward to future prospects at the mine.
"We have been working closely with Mount Isa Mines to continually improve our operations performance through effective operating practices," Watson says.
"Our Mount Isa operations team have demonstrated their expertise in maintaining high-availability and delivering high production performance while maintaining excellent safety standards."
Sedgman deploys 19 employees on the site, supported by an off-site technical team in Brisbane and Townsville.
The workshop in Townsville provides fabrication, equipment refurbishment and shutdown support to Mount Isa.
