PEDAL TO THE METAL FOR PWR

PEDAL TO THE METAL FOR PWR

A YATALA headquartered auto part manufacturer has accelerated above other nominees to take out the 2012 Gold Coast Business of the Year at the Business Excellence Awards.

Custom building radiators and oil coolers from its Gold Coast workshop, PWR Performance Products has created a brand synonymous with the most successful motorsport teams in the world.
The majority of Australian V8 Supercars, several European Formula One teams and a significant percentage of US NASCAR race cars represent just some of the world’s ‘PWR-cooled’ vehicles.

Away from motorsport, the Gold Coast performance brand has a strong following with street car enthusiasts and is securing more OEM contracts, including cooling Aston Martin’s latest V12 supercar, the One-77.

“The winning results our customers are achieving are a great indication that we’re providing the right solutions. It’s been an overnight success that’s taken many years,” says general manager Marshall Vann (pictured).

Established in 2001, PWR employs 55 staff at its factory, which includes a state-of-the-art wind tunnel that simulates extreme conditions for testing purposes.

Billabong founder Gordon Merchant  became the fifth inductee into the Hall of Fame while the Gold Coast Suns scooped  the corporate social responsibility award.
