NUMBERS GAME FOR A CAUSE

JUMBO Interactive (ASX:JIN) has added to its range of national lotteries with the launch of three new charity games.

The lottery business will sell tickets to raise money for the Surf Life Saving Foundation, ACT for Kids and the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation.

Charity lotteries entice customers with the chance to win monthly prizes including luxury homes, holidays and cars.

They are offered alongside Jumbo Interactive's national lotteries, OzLotto and Powerball, which have large weekly cash prizes in the range of $5 million to $50 million.

Jumbo CEO Mike Veverka says the initiative forms a key part of the company's strategy to boost revenue, as well as assist worthy causes.

"Customers typically play charity lotteries as well as national lotteries because of the different focus," Veverka says.

"Our large customer database provides a good opportunity for increasing revenue and helping select charities."

"The new lottery games were selected to complement our existing national games and deliver greater choice to our customers who wish to make additional purchases benefitting charities."

OzLotteries.com has grown to more than 1.91 million customer accounts at the end of May, an increase of 89,000 accounts in five months.

This has become an integral asset for Jumbo, and follows a strategic rebranding for the company.

Veverka says the new direction provides a consistent experience for customers who purchase tickets across a range of devices, such as desktops, smartphones, tablets and Apple Watch.

"The launch of the new Jumbo brand across all our sites marks a great leap forward in customer communication and retention efforts," he says.

"More than just a new look, the new brand affects a diverse range of touch points designed to improve customer affinity with Jumbo.

"We want our customers to feel closer to Jumbo than ever before by making playing the lottery more fun, while maintaining the trust and security that we have earned over the years."

Jumbo also operates a lottery website in Germany, and is working to sell tickets in the USA.
