MALAYSIA AIRLINES GETS DOWN TO BUSINESS

Malaysia Airlines is continuing to redefine its standard, as it celebrates the rollout of Business Class on board its A330 fleet this week.

Planes retrofitted with the new-look seats have touched down in Sydney, primed to carry travellers across the south-east to destinations including New Zealand, Japan, China and India.

Paul Simmons, Chief Commercial Officer of Malaysia Airlines, says the new flight class is a testament to the company's goal of raising the bar in customer experience.

"The introduction of the A330 Business Class seat will make us more competitive against other full-service carriers and is part of our push to make Malaysia Airlines the preferred carrier to, from and around Malaysia," says Simmons.

"This is the start of an exciting rollout of new, innovative and personalised products and services that we can't wait to share with our guests."

The new seats feature a 43-inch pitch that passengers can convert into a fully flat 76-inch bed, along with an upgraded touch screen in-flight entertainment system, more working space and extra room for personal items.

The majority of seats also have direct access to the aisle, courtesy of the new design and cabin layout.

Business class passengers who book their flights more than a day in advance are also able to access the chef-on-call dining service, and select from 25 different options including Malaysian cuisine, chef specials and healthy choice dishes.
