KELVIN GROVE CONSTRUCTION COMMENCES

KELVIN GROVE CONSTRUCTION COMMENCES
A $50 MILLION residential development began today at Kelvin Grove expected to open in June 2015 and complement the mixed-use community.

Construction has begun for Quest Serviced Apartments and Cinqué Residential Apartments, which will coexist in a building where high-end Cinqué apartments occupy the top floors, following a ceremony held today with Lord Mayor Graham Quirk and Queensland Parliament’s Robert Cavallucci in attendance.

Quirk says the development at 41 Ramsgate Street on the fringes of the CBD will supplement the Kelvin Grove Urban Village and deliver measurable benefits.

“They are important contributions to this thriving community and will deliver considerable benefits to the surrounding suburbs through job creation and a quality accommodation offer for extended stay business travellers.”

Quest Serviced Apartments’ Andrew Weisz says the area was attractive, in high demand with promising growth opportunities.

“Kelvin Grove is fast becoming one of Brisbane’s most desirable suburbs with significant development across commercial, educational and recreational facilities – an ideal location for Quest.”

Sales have been going steady for the residential complex, with EkkoPoint Properties general manager Brad Beh reporting only 30 of the 46 Cinqué apartments are still on the market despite the $345,000 and upwards price tag.
