JUPITERS REVEALS FIRST LOOK AT NEW ATRIUM BAR

JUPITERS has unveiled designs for its new and improved Atrium Bar, ahead of the casino's transition to The Star brand.

The revamped design by Brand + Slater architects promises to serve up an intimate atmosphere, combined with a sense of occasion for both business and leisure guests.

Brand + Slater Architects Director Luis Nheu says the new Atrium Bar offers a design inspired by the city's natural and laidback lifestyle.

"The Atrium Bar is one of the first venues visitors and guests see when they arrive at Jupiters so it needed to be representative of the local area," says Nheu.

"By incorporating a range of luxurious furniture and finishes, including locally sourced bespoke furniture throughout, we've created a light and airy design reflective of the Gold Coast lifestyle."

Upgrades to the Atrium Bar are a key part of the Jupiters atrium area transformation, which also includes replacing the iconic 2,612sqm sail roof.

When completed, the casino atrium will also include two new wine and dine experiences Mei Wei Dumplings and the M&G Café and Bar.

Geoff Hogg, Star Entertainment Group Managing Director for Queensland, says the completion of all atrium area projects will enhance the guest experience as the venue's central hub.

"The atrium area is the heart of our property, so its transformation is integral to the overall redevelopment project," says Hogg.

"The new-look Atrium Bar design perfectly complements the newly refurbished hotel rooms and suits and of course one of our newest venues, Garden Kitchen & Bar."

Jupiters are expecting to unveil the refurbished bar in time for the festive season, with remaining restaurants, hotel, theatre and casino operating business-as-usual while renovations are underway.
