GOLD COAST UNITED GONE

GOLD COAST UNITED GONE

WITH Just four games to go this season and heading for the wooden spoon, Gold Coast United hopes of fighting back on the field were dashed today after the side was booted out of the A-League.

Owner Clive Palmer (pictured) says Football Federation Australia had revoked Gold Coast United's licence.

“Our licence is being revoked by Frank Lowy and FFA cohorts .. I will issue detailed response shortly,” he says on Twitter.

"We intend to fight this ludicrous decision by incompetent FFA in the courts. Frank Lowy is an institution who now belongs in an institution."

The club’s media and communications manager Neil Favager, had no clue what was going to happen next and Palmer was unavailable for comment.
