Ecovillage has a cow of a time

RESIDENTS at Currumbin’s Ecovillage are set to socialise in a fully restored $3.5 million old dairy on the acreage property.

Set to become the community’s new social hub, the historic dairy dates back to the 1920s when it serviced southeast Queensland and northern NSW.

The dairy has been fully restored by The Ecovillage developers Landmatters in recognition of the historical significance of the dairy in the community life of the Currumbin Valley.

Facilities at the old dairy include a 220 sqm community hall, a central courtyard, gymnasium, three playgrounds for toddlers to teenagers, a full commercial kitchen, and a resort-quality 20m lap pool.
