DEMAND FOR BUSH MANSIONS INCREASING

DEMAND for bush luxury on the Gold Coast is on the rise as people opt to move away from the city to enjoy more space and a prestigious country lifestyle.

BrentnallL Homes’ $3 million showpiece Inspirations is in the final stages of construction in the picturesque Mingarra Estate at Mount Tamborine. The Balinese-inspired mansion features several connected bungalows.

Brentnall Homes designer Siobhan Pearson is at the forefront of a push toward rural elegance.

“Our clients are attracted to the fact that they can live a self-sustainable lifestyle in a prestigious country bush setting,” she says.

“It’s about growing organic vegetable gardens, using renewable energy like solar, recycling water and being eco-friendly, all in prestige luxury.

“We expect the trend for bush luxury to continue as buyers become educated at the affordability of this upmarket lifestyle as opposed to inner-city property options.”

Inspirations has views of the entire Gold Coast. It features separate guest quarters, media room, office, three bathrooms with another separate powder room, two fireplaces, five separate alfresco dining areas, a three-car garage, portico grand entrance with a turnaround driveway, wine cellar, sewing room, a dog mud room and storage room.

Owned by dancer Suzanne Swain and husband Richard, Inspirations is a prestige hideaway escape envisioned, designed and built by Siobhan and Darby Pearson.

“We fell in love with the Inspirations home design that Siobhan and Darby Pearson created and knew instantly that this was the direction that we would take,” says Richard Swain.

“Brentnall Homes never build the same home twice, so the floor plan was designed to suit our individual lifestyle requirements while maximising the land potential.

“We simply can’t wait to move in to the home in the coming weeks and couldn’t be happier with the result.”

Pearson says the home achieves a perfect synergy with a luxurious lifestyle and natural bush surrounds.

“The Inspirations home was designed to reflect the opulence and majesty of Balinese architecture whilst maximising the full potential of the site ensuring that views are experienced from every room in the house,” she says.

“This home is the perfect synergy between Indonesian influences, a tropical oasis and the Australian natural bush landscape.

“At night, the home represents a fairy wonderland with the clever use of lighting used throughout the gardens, bridges, ponds, water features and trees.

“The result is an endless sense of space that flows from the interior to the exterior, from each room to each alfresco area, to each running stream of water and tranquil ponds to the expansive views and bush setting. It’s about understanding the emotion of a home to create harmony within surrounds.”

The master retreat was designed as a romantic escape with an elevation incorporated to accommodate an impressive timber posted bed that overlooks a stone clad wood burning fireplace and views across the city. Connecting to a spacious en suite, the deep oval porcelain bath sits with unsurpassed views across the nearby pond and skyline.

An open-planned dining area overlooks a huge resort-style pool, cabana and alfresco entertainment area surrounded by running streams, a Buddha stone feature and a bridge walkway. The kitchen has a 5m marble island bench top with Miele kitchen appliances, a wine cellar and huge pantry spaces.

Surrounded by bamboo Asian-influenced gardens, the open-planned dining space comprises a modern wood fire place complimented by uninterrupted views across the hinterland stretching wide across to the ocean.

Inspirations is expected to be completed next month.
