CUTTING-EDGE FOR TECHONE

CUTTING-EDGE FOR TECHONE

TECHNOLOGYONE Limited (TNE) has opened a $15 million R&D facility on Wickham Street in the heart of Fortitude Valley, as the software developer embarks on a $120 million innovation project.

TechnologyOne’s new international headquarters has taken 6700sqm on the north tower of the Leighton HQ development, while founder Adrian Di Marco highlights the importance of keeping the best IT talent in Brisbane.

“The $15 million fit out was designed to improve collaboration and innovation for the company’s 350 plus software developers, who represent some of Australia’s best technology talent,” he says.

“Our facilities need to be at the cutting edge to attract and retain the best IT talent in the country and to compete effectively in the global software market.

“Brisbane has so many advantages; such as our lifestyle, our low cost of living, world class universities and our very creative and talented young people.”

He says a creative workforce needs a good work-life balance, so the new headquarters includes a bike centre, a ‘Village Green’ communal kitchen with a games area, a wellness room and nearby fitness facilities.

Di Marco says the R&D centre will help the company with the development of its next generation enterprise software.

“At a projected cost of $120 million, the project – code named ‘Next Gen’ – will embrace leading edge concepts and emerging ‘start-of-the-art’ technologies.

“It will follow the success of TechnologyOne’s Connected Intelligence platform, released in 2005 and now used by more than 800 of Australia’s largest corporations, government departments, universities and utilities providers.”
